Celebrating National Police Week, yesterday 5 newly sworn officers joined the Sunrise Police Department Family. Heeding the call to one of the most noble professions, these young men, representing incredibly diverse backgrounds and life experiences, have committed to being our newest guardians for our community. They individually and collectively represent the dreams and aspirations of our community. Our obligation is to make sure they have the support, training, and tools to do their job effectively and safely -- and to go home safe to their families after every shift.
